Celebrating the Women of Alclad’s Woodworking Department
As we mark Women’s Month here in South Africa, We want to take a moment to celebrate the remarkable women who work in our Alclad woodworking department.
Woodworking has long been seen as a male-dominated field — but not anymore. The women on our factory floor are reshaping that narrative every single day. From precision cutting to detailed assembly, quality control, and finishing, they handle every task with skill, pride, and professionalism.
It’s not just about doing the job — it’s about how they do it. These women bring focus, innovation, and a calm confidence to a high-pressure, fast-paced environment. They prove that strength and craftsmanship are not defined by gender, but by talent, training, and determination.
Their contribution goes beyond physical work. They uplift our team culture, add a sense of balance, and remind us of the importance of inclusion in every part of our business. Their presence sends a clear message: there is a place for women in every corner of this industry — including the workshop floor.
At Alclad, we are proud to have a diverse, growing team — and even prouder to support women who are forging their own path in manufacturing.
To the women in our woodworking department: we see you, we appreciate you, and we celebrate you — this month and every month and to the woman out there - we solute you.
