Celebrating Youth Month: Building Skills, Creating Opportunities

Celebrating Youth Day at Alclad

This Youth Day, Alclad Shopfitting proudly celebrates the power of opportunity, the resilience of our youth, and the role that learnerships play in shaping a stronger and more inclusive future.

We are proud to support unemployed learners living with disabilities, who are currently enrolled in a 12-month Cabinet Making Level 1 learnership through an external service provider. As part of the program, these learners spend time in our factory, gaining valuable on-the-job experience alongside our skilled team.

This hands-on exposure not only equips them with technical skills but also prepares them for real-world workplace demands. It’s an opportunity to learn, grow, and contribute while being mentored in a supportive and inclusive environment.

For young people living with disabilities, learnerships are life changing. They provide a chance to break barriers, build confidence, and earn the dignity that comes from mastering a skill and contributing to the economy.

At Alclad Shopfitting we are committed to being part of the solution developing future artisans, building inclusive workplaces, and supporting South Africa’s next generation of skilled professionals. By investing in the youth, we are also investing in the sustainability and innovation of our industry.

This Youth Month, we salute these future artisans and reaffirm our commitment to empowering young people especially those who often get overlooked.
